Blog Post #24: Revenge of the Wannabes

This week, I finished reading the book "Revenge of the Wannabes" which is the third book in the "Clique" series.  I think that it was a great book and I really enjoyed reading it.  I think that this is my favorite book in the 3 books that I have read out of the series.

I can tell that there are conflicts in the book.  One major conflict is that Alicia and Olivia cheated and won the uniform contest and then they got credit for it and got to go to New York and be models in a magazine.  I think that this is a major conflict because this is why Macie, Kristen, Dylan, and Claire are mad at Alicia.  I think that Alicia should just come clean and tell the school that she and Olivia cheated during the contest.  Alicia should Also apologize to Macie, Kristen, Dylan, and Claire because they worked very hard for that contest and I believe that they deserved to win it.

I think that another conflict is that Macie, Kristen, Dylan, and Claire are being very mean to Alicia.  They made her cry one night.  I think that what they did was wrong because even though she cheated, she didn't deserve them to be that mean to her.  I think that they should have confronted Alicia and told her that they know what she did.  I think that was really mean what they did to Alicia and they shouldn't have done that to her.

Lastly, I think another conflict is that Macie, Kristen, Dylan, Claire, Olivia, and Alicia are in New York for the photo shoot and none of them are getting along.  Everyone is arguing and being mean and rude to each other.  I think that they should all just have fun and stop fighting, at least for that day that they were modeling.  I also believe that they should all just apologize to each other and forgive each other.  The fighting will continue to go on if they keep fighting.

I really liked reading this book.  I liked how the author made it so that people can relate to it.  I would recommend this book to other people.

Blog Post #23: Revenge of the Wannabees

I started reading the book "Revenge of the Wannabees" this week and I really enjoy it.  It is the third book in the "Clique" series.  It is a great book and I really enjoy reading it.

I am going to do a character analysis on Alicia Rivera.  Alicia is best friends with Macie, but ever since Olivia came along they have been separating.  I think that Alicia wants to be in control and be the leader.  I think that because at the beginning of the book, Alicia talks about how she wants to be like Macie and have her own followers.  Also, Alicia seems kind of stuck up.  She buys all designer clothes and lives in a big house and is always bragging and she thinks she is better than others.

I believe that the book shows a lot of characteristics about Alicia.  I also believe that Alicia is competitive.  In her dance class, she wants to be the best and she always wants to lead the dances.  I think that Alicia is friendly. She is nice to the people in her dance class, but she is mean to a lot of people that Massie tells her to be mean to.  I think that deep down Alicia is a sweet girl, even though she does't show it because she wants to continue being popular.

I think that Alicia's behavior could improve.  She is always making fun of people but when people make fun of her she gets mad.  I think that Alicia just wants to be better than Massie because she is always talking about Massie.  Also, she told Olivia that she wants to be an 'Alpha' and that she wants to be the most popular girl in school.

I would recommend this book to other people. I think that this book is really interesting and i want to continue reading the series.

Blog Post #22: Best friends for Never

I finished reading the book "Best friends for Never", the second book in the "Clique" series.  I can tell a lot about all of the characters now.

There was a competition to design school uniforms.  Massie, Claire, Dylan, and Kristen were supposed to win, but Alicia and Olivia won because they cheated and switched the boxes.  Alicia and Massie are supposed to be best friends but ever since Olivia came along, they have been drifting apart.

I can tell that Massie is very stuck up and competitive.  She always wants to win.  Also, she always thinks that whatever she did or whatever she has is the best.  I can also tell that she is sort of the 'boss'.  Everyone followes exactly what she says.  I can tell that Massie has been getting a little nicer, compared to the beginning of the book.  Instead of ratting out Olivia and Alicia she decided not to.

Another character, Claire is also interesting.  I can tell that she is not really caring.  She wears whatever she wants and does what ever she wants.  I think that she is also kind of jealous of Massie.  She wants what Massie has.  Also she is very friendly.  Unlike Massie she is friendly with everyone in the school.  I like Claire because she is nice and friendly, she really cares about her friends.

Dylan and Kristen are more characters in the book.  They are sort of like Massie's followers.  They do what Massie tells them to do.  They seem like they enjoy being friends with Massie.  I think that they are kind of jealous of Massie too.  They want to be like Massie, dress like her, and act like her.

I really enjoyed reading this book.  I would recommend this book to other people.

Blog Post #21: Best Friends for Never

I started reading the book "Best Friends for Never" which is the 2nd book in the "Clique" series.  I really like and enjoy reading the book and I think that it is very interesting.  The main character is a girl named Massie.  I think that the author tells us a lot about her without specifically saying it.

I think that Massie has a lot of traits and she is a special character.  She is mean but yet nice, which is difficult to understand.  She is mostly mean but she has those moments when she is very nice and welcoming to people.  Massie is sort of like the 'leader' of her school.  Everyone follows her and her friends.  She is considered the 'Alpha' and her best friend, Alicia is the 'Beta'.

I believe that Massie wants to be nice, but she just doesn't want to ruin her image in school.  Everyone knows her as the most popular girl.  Everyone wants to be her friend and everyone knows her.  She goes to a private school in Westchester.  Her family is rich and has a big house.  This family lives with them in their guest house.  The family who lives with Massie knows Massie's dad so they were staying with Massie's family.

I think that Massie is very controlling.  I can tell that she gets annoyed quickly.  Also, I think that she wants to be the center of attention all the time.  Massie never likes it when the attention is off of her.  I think that Massie should start being nice to others because soon, maybe everyone will hate her.  I think that Massie needs to change and stop thinking of herself as the best.

I really like this book and I want to continue reading the other books in this series.

Blog Post #20: "Flawless"

This week, I finished reading the book Flawless which is the 2nd book in the Pretty Little Liars series.  I think that is was a great book and I would recommend other people to read it.  I think that the character Toby is an important character, so I decided to do my post on him.

Toby lived in Rosewood, before his parents sent him off to a school in Maine.  One day, Alison, Hanna, Spencer, Aria, and Emily decided to play a trick to scare Toby and instead they ended up blinding him.  That day, Alison saw Toby doing things to his step sister.  When Alison returned to the sleepover with the girls, she told Spencer what she had seen.

I think that Toby was a boy who everyone always thought was dangerous.  People would stay away from him, but I think that they were wrong to do that.  Toby was just blamed for stuff that he didn't do.  He was blamed for blinding his step sister and some people thought that he was the one who had killed Alison.  I think Toby was a good boy at heart but what everyone else saw was a different side of him.  Everyone judged him and never gave him a second chance.

I think that Toby is different than others.  He's a loner, since he didn't have many friends.  I also think that he may have acted the wrong way in some situations.  The night of Foxy he was acting kind of strange and saying things he didn't mean.  After that, he was found dead, I think that he killed himself.

If Toby did kill himself, there was no reason to do that.  He was afraid Emily would tell everyone what Alison would have seen that day.  I think that Toby should have talked to Emily first before running away and doing what he did.

I really enjoy reading the Pretty Little Liars series.  I can't wait to read the rest of the books!

Blog Post #19: Flawless

This week, I started reading the book Flawless which is the 2nd book in the Pretty Little Liars series.  The setting is in a town in Pennsylvania called Rosewood.  It seems like a small nice town where nothing big ever happens.  But when Alison was murdered all that changed.

A few years back, Alison was killed in Rosewood but nobody ever found out who killed her.  Although Rosewood seemed like a nice little town where nothing bad ever happened, things did happen.  For example, Toby was found dead in Rosewood and so was Alison.  Also Hanna, Spencer, Emily, and Aria get messages and treats from someone named 'A' and they do not know who 'A' is.

I think that Rosewood is an important setting. It's where all the characters live and it is where most events in the book occur.  At first, I would describe Rosewood as a nice, peaceful town.  But after everything that has happened there I am starting to think that it may be a little dangerous.  Since Alison's killer was never found, the killer could live in Rosewood.  And that killer could be walking upon everyone every day, without anyone knowing.

I believe that Rosewood is a very pretty town.  The houses there are big and nice.  Most of the people who live in Rosewood are also nice.  I think I wouldn't live in Rosewood because of all of the things that happened there.  If I was in Aria's, Hanna's, Emily's, or Spencer's shoes I would have moved away from Rosewood.  I would have moved away because there is a lot of things that happened in Rosewood that they  don't want to remember.  I wouldn't want to wake up everyday and know that my best friend was killed and buried under concrete so close to my house.  But then again, that's just my opinion, and the character's may like living there because they get to remember their friend Alison.

I really like this book.  I want to continue reading this book and the rest of the books in the series.  I can't wait to find out who 'A' is!  I would recommend the Pretty Little Liars series.

Blog Post #18:Sharp Objects

I'm doing my blog post on the book, Sharp Objects, this week.  There are a lot of strong characters in the book. I think that the author gives enough details on the characters that the readers are able to relate, understand, and read the characters.

I am going to do a character analysis on the mother, Adora.  Adora is a rich woman who lives in a big mansion.  Everyone in the small town knows her very well and she knows everybody.  I can tell that Adora is very popular because people talk highly of her and respect her.  I think that people look up to Adora because they think of her as the most rich and powerful woman in the small town.

Adora has a very strong character.  She is very powerful, people do what she tells them to do.  She is sort of in control.  Also, she is very bossy.  he makes people do what she wants.  She is stubborn, she always thinks that she is right.

Adora is not very loving.  Camille, one of Adora's daughters, talked about how Adora was never really a good mother.  Adora never cared for her.  I believe that Adora isn't really a motherly figure.  She makes the decisions around.  Adora lives in one of the biggest houses and I think that she thinks she is the best and everyone wants to be her.

I think that Adora is very strange.  Camille talked about how she loves teeth and things she used to see Adora do.  I believe that Adora is the one who killed the young girls in Wind Gap.  I believe that because both girls had their teeth pulled out.  Since Adora loves teeth, maybe she has something to do with the girl's murder.

I believe that Adora's character is strong.  Adora does what she wants and she doesn't care what people think.  She wants everyone to follow her and she wants to be the leader.  I think that the author includes a lot of details in the book so that we can understand Adora's character more.
