This week I started reading the Hunger Games. The book is really interesting and since I saw the movie I wanted to read the book series. Katniss, the main character has a very strong personality. The book shows the readers a lot about her personality. I really enjoy reading this book. I can tell a lot about Katniss from the book.
Katniss is a unique girl. From the book I can tell a lot about her personality. I can tell that she is very strong. Also, I can tell that she is a hard worker. I think that she is strong because she took care of her family after her father died. Without her, her family probably wouldn't have survived because she is the one who brought home the food while her mom was in a depression. I think that Katniss is a hard worker because she worked very hard for for her family. Everyday she would wake up and go into the woods looking for animals or plants that she could use as food so that her family would not starve.
Katniss is also very caring. She is not afraid and she is determined. She really cares for her family and protects them. I think that she is caring because she took care of her sister and her mother, only at the age of about 12 years old. She is not afraid because she was willing to go to the hunger game. Also, she is determined to survive the hunger games so that she could make it back to her mother and her sister, Prim. I know that Katniss cares for her family because she volunteered herself as tribute for the hunger games. Personally, I believe that she is very brave based on her actions.
Katniss is a strong fighter. I know that because she is great at the bow and arrow. Also she has great hand eye coordination. She is different, just like everyone else. Not many girls have to take on the load to have to care for their families. I think that Katniss had a hard life. First her father died. Then her mother goes into a depression so she has to care for her family. She is the one who has to get the food and make it and care for her sister. Then her sister gets picked for the hunger games and instead she volunteers as tribute. So she is now going to be in the hunger games. To me, that is a very difficult life.
I think that Katniss is a great character. I think that she could be a role model for many girls. She is a unique strong person. I respect Katniss as a character, I really enjoy reading this book so far.

Blog Post #24: Revenge of the Wannabes
This week, I finished reading the book "Revenge of the Wannabes" which is the third book in the "Clique" series. I think that it was a great book and I really enjoyed reading it. I think that this is my favorite book in the 3 books that I have read out of the series.
I can tell that there are conflicts in the book. One major conflict is that Alicia and Olivia cheated and won the uniform contest and then they got credit for it and got to go to New York and be models in a magazine. I think that this is a major conflict because this is why Macie, Kristen, Dylan, and Claire are mad at Alicia. I think that Alicia should just come clean and tell the school that she and Olivia cheated during the contest. Alicia should Also apologize to Macie, Kristen, Dylan, and Claire because they worked very hard for that contest and I believe that they deserved to win it.
I think that another conflict is that Macie, Kristen, Dylan, and Claire are being very mean to Alicia. They made her cry one night. I think that what they did was wrong because even though she cheated, she didn't deserve them to be that mean to her. I think that they should have confronted Alicia and told her that they know what she did. I think that was really mean what they did to Alicia and they shouldn't have done that to her.
Lastly, I think another conflict is that Macie, Kristen, Dylan, Claire, Olivia, and Alicia are in New York for the photo shoot and none of them are getting along. Everyone is arguing and being mean and rude to each other. I think that they should all just have fun and stop fighting, at least for that day that they were modeling. I also believe that they should all just apologize to each other and forgive each other. The fighting will continue to go on if they keep fighting.
I really liked reading this book. I liked how the author made it so that people can relate to it. I would recommend this book to other people.
